Heart of Sword is a Rurouni Kenshin fanclub. There are monthly art contests, and you can submit art to us any time you like. We do have a few specific rules, however:
~ Please keep deviations PG-13 at the most; we allow R for violence only.
~ Please don't spam on the comment board.
~ You can submit up to 3 deviations to the club every two weeks.
~ Do NOT plaigerize/steal any art from anyone else; I can tell plaigerism very well.
~ Please don't post on the comment board your contest entries/asking to join. Please send us a not so that it doesn't clog up the boards.


How to Join:
If you want to join Heart of Sword, please email the club account with the title "Join". You will then be added to our list of members the next time one of the admins signs onto this account.

How to submit art:
We have limits on the amount of art that can be submitted a week. Please limit submissions to 1-2 every two weeks. For contests, you can only submit one piece of art. If you do, you need to wait until the next contest to sumbit a contest entry piece.

How winning contest pieces are chosen:
The admins go through all the submissions, and decide if they meet the criteria, and if they're appropriate. Afterwards, we put up the submissions for voting. To vote on a piece, send a note to the club with the title "Vote-" followed by the name of the piece. Winners will be announced either at the end of the month, or the beginning of the next month. Winners will also have their names, along with their winning submissions, posted in a note.

FAQ's:

Q. Why isn't my submission up? I sent it in and I still haven't gotten a reply!
A. Since we get many entries, we can't reply to each note personally. If you don't see your entry up after a week, please send a note back to the club, as we may have lost it. Also, since Shay often gets grounded from her computer, she can only get online on weekends 3 times a month, making it a little hard to manage the club. Please, be patient.

Q. I requested to join the club, I've done everything, why isn't my name up on the list?
A. Once again, we may have lost your note, or Shay may be very busy. Please, be patient.

Q. How do I become an admin?
A. Currently, admin positions are going to be reserved for friends of Shay. We need to get to know you before we can trust you with club passwords and whatnot.

Q. What if I spot a plaigerized work that hasn't been caught by the admin?
A. Please report it to us in a note, titled "Stolen Artwork-" followed by the username of the person who you think stole the art. We will look into the situation, and if it is found that the art is stolen, the person will be banned from the club indefinately.

Q. What happens if I'm inactive?
A. You will not be deleted from the club, unless you have a ridiculously long time of not logging in, or there is no bar stating the last time you logged in. If it is obvious that you have quit, we will then remove your name. If you are quitting, please send us a note telling us.

Q. What happens if I want to leave?
A. Just send us a note telling us that you want to be removed from our list.
